You might like to know how the Green Party envisions the future of healthcare. Here is an excerpt from the 2014 Green Party Platform:
The Green Party supports single-payer universal health care and preventive care for all. We believe that health care is a right, not a privilege.
Our current health care system lets tens of thousands of people die each year by excluding them from adequate care, while its exorbitant costs are crippling our economy. The United States is the only industrialized nation in the world without a national health care system.
It’s time to move past the “lesser of two evils” and toward a greater good.
A revolution is brewing in the United States, and the Green Party is right at the heart of it. And should be. Now get ready for the “lesser of two evils” rhetoric coming from the faux-progressive Democratic Party. It’s time for real change in our electoral process. Do not expect that kind of change from the DNC—you won’t get it. You will get it from the Greens. If Bernie Sanders didn’t prove that to you I’m not sure what it will take.
One of the poorly publicized aspects of CO21 in Paris last year was the exciting announcement of a Green Bank Network (GBN) to expand renewable energy development and fight against continued climate change. Staying on our current path will lead us to ecological and economic ruin, and Green Banks could be an essential part of fixing the emerging climate crisis and simultaneously build the clean energy economy.
The GBN’s initial partners will be the United Kingdom, the Green Fund based in Japan, the Malaysian Green Technology Corporation, Australia’s Clean Energy Finance Corporation, and Green Banks in the states of Connecticut and New York. Plans are in the works for a Green Bank here in the state of Nevada. The Nevada Green Party should enthusiastically support this measure.
