Radio Silence

We discussed going fully radio silent with the New Mexico Green Party across every channel. This isn’t about drama, it’s about protecting our members and honoring an ongoing process. We currently have a petition pending in the GPUS Ballot Access Committee to remove Rick Lass as a BAC co‑chair due to documented abusive behavior. Because Rick Lass was hired by the Jill Stein campaign in both 2016 and 2024 to oversee national ballot access, any contact routed through GPNM risks putting our members back in direct communication with him. For everyone’s well‑being, we’re choosing a clean, complete pause in communication until the petition process concludes.

The Save Act

We discussed the SAVE Act and what it could mean for women and for voters in general. The conversation focused on what women can do to protect themselves, what documentation voters may need in order to cast a ballot, and how to prepare ahead of time so no one is caught off guard. We also noted that the entity pushing the SAVE Act appears to be reconsidering its position because a significant number of Republicans lack passports or the forms of identification that would be required, which could prevent many of their own voters from participating.

Certificate of Minor Party Organization

We received confirmation from the Nevada Secretary of State’s Elections Division that our Certificate of Minor Party Organization paperwork has been received.
The acknowledgment came by email, and we’re now waiting on the hard‑copy certificate. Co‑Chair Margery Hanson will begin calling and emailing the SOS office if we haven’t received the physical certificate by March 2026, just to keep everything moving on schedule.

Updating Login Credentials For Our Voter Rolls

We updated our login credentials for accessing Voter Roll Statistics from the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office. This keeps our data access current and ensures we can track our growth and outreach accurately.

Filing Fees Pledge

We closed on a hopeful note: two members pledged to cover some filing fees for any Nevadan who chooses to run for office as a Green. It’s a generous show of support and a reminder that even in a small state party, people step up for one another.

The Nevada Green Party is the “We Party.”
We work together to solve real problems.
We believe in fairness, sustainability, and community.
Every person matters. Every action counts.
You are a part of WE.
And WE make change happen.
