I.C.E. Political Engagement New Online Structure Becoming a 501c4

Members discussed the ongoing presence of ICE in our communities and reaffirmed our commitment to creating safe spaces. A Signal chat has been established to support individuals who may be “at risk.” Practical safety measures were emphasized: Install security cameras at homes and businesses. Do not open doors unless presented with a Federal Warrant. If someone rushes into a business seeking refuge, do not signal them in. However, if they find their way into an employees-only area, that space is recognized as safe. If someone is detained by ICE, you can check their status by calling 702-388-6253.
Political Engagement
Eric LaRue encouraged members to consider recruiting trusted individuals to run for office: A candidate for Governor. A candidate for Senator, Congressional District 3. These efforts reflect our commitment to building grassroots representation.

Jake Ford presented plans for a new online structure to strengthen communication and outreach.
Becoming a 501c4
Members reviewed the paperwork required to establish the Nevada Green Party as a 501(c)(4) organization, ensuring our ability to advocate effectively while maintaining compliance. Together, we continue to build resilience, protect our communities, and expand our political presence. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this month’s meeting.
