It is a sad day indeed, when not only the Nevada Supreme Court, but also the United States Supreme Court can choose the side of injustice.
The Nevada Green Party did the work and followed the rules laid out for us by the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office – Elections Division and the Nevada Revised Statutes. That a few people can deliberately hand out the incorrect information, then claim it was a “mistake” and still pass it on, causing financial hardship to the one Party who does not accept Corporate or AIPAC funding and relies on the generosity of its donors, trying to justify their malfeasance or just plain incompetence, only adds insult to injury.
They have removed our ability to “write-in” a candidate of our choice and replaced it with “None of the Above”, which we view as an act of voter suppression. What these people have done is not only shattered the public trust in government entities in this state, but endorsed their misconduct. They have made it more difficult to get a free and fair election in the state of Nevada. We don’t know what you call this, but it’s NOT democracy!
That being said, we would once again like to thank Jason Call for being the Nevada Green Party Representative for court proceedings, thank the Stein/Ware Campaign for all their help and ask that anyone who was looking forward to voting for Jill Stein and Butch Ware, register with the Green Party and only vote on Ballot Measures at the General Election. Especially to vote YES on question 3. Ranked Choice Voting is the only way to break the stranglehold the Duopoly has on elections and of course, do not vote for any candidates of the red or blue corporate owned persuasion.
I think it is intentional, I was still going to write in Dr Stein, but that will invalidate the ballot, so I vote none of the above because we also have to vote Yes On Choice voting. Be smart, for sure that’s the other reason they want us to throw away our votes. Nevda democRats should be ashamed of themselves.
Green Party of Nevada & Green Party USA must continue to seek damages and relief.
