Green Party’s outlook on last election, democracy – www.gp.org

Democracy isn’t a two-party, either-or system. That is a recipe for death of our experiment in self-government. So, shame on those who prevented an alternate view of being debated and allowed to be voted on in the last Pennsylvania election. So, I would encourage each of you to register Green, Vote Green and run as a Green. Voting in an either-or election between two corporate-sponsored candidates is choosing between the lessor of two evils.

The Baltimore City Green Party welcomes Lawrence Grandpre to discuss his research on *grassroots democracy and community control*. Lawrence is the Creative Director at the New Timbuktu Project, a digital research and content platform where community and scholars unite to seek serious, in-depth analysis on how to best address the most pressing problems facing the Black community. Local activists from across New Jersey stand in solidarity with Alabama Amazon Workers and workers everywhere! Activists will rally in front of the Bellmawr, New Jersey Amazon warehouse to show support to the Amazon workers in Bessemer, Alabama and workers everywhere. Bessemer, Alabama, sits on the outskirts of Birmingham and with a population of 26,500 — about 75% African American — has become a central focus for class struggle. At the Bessemer Amazon warehouse thousands of workers are fighting for a union GPNJ are a host and co-sponsor for the “Support Alabama Amazon Union: Fight Racism & Union Busting!” as numerous events will occur across the country in solidarity this Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., with our YES Caucus, SJ Solidarity Collective and New Labor. This event will be outside the Amazon Warehouse at 281 Benigno Boulevard in Bellmawr, NJ. We invite you to attend! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will get clobbered as a third-party Presidential candidate unless he’s willing to stand up to billionaires and fight for everyday people … so says the Green Party. As you may have heard … the WWE superstar-turned Hollywood megastar now says he’d seriously consider running for Prez “if that’s what the people wanted” — but Green Party spokesperson Michael O’Neil’s not sure The Rock’s got the stones.

With some preliminary thought and work, you can prepare a basic campaign outline and strategy that provide an efficient and organized structure to work with, and enable your campaign to operate as a model of Green/progressive organizing and community building – many “wins” are possible. This conference call is designed for declared candidates, and especially those considering a run for office this year with the Green Party. Those who are (or plan to be) key support staff or volunteers are also welcome to join.
