Nevada Green Party Steering Committee Votes to Endorse the Nevada Corporate Powers Clarification ACT
The Nevada Green Party announced today that its Steering Committee has formally voted to endorse and support the Corporate Powers Clarification Act (S‑01‑2026). The vote was held in response to the proposal submitted yesterday requesting official consideration.
The Steering Committee members participating in the vote were:
- Eric LaRue – Co Chair
- Andrea Warzlow – Historian
- Margery Hanson – Co Chair
- Robert Hanson – Nye County at Large Member
Following review and discussion, the Committee voted to endorse the initiative and to authorize the Nevada Green Party to publicly support efforts to educate voters about the measure and promote community engagement around its goals.
The Corporate Powers Clarification Act seeks to clarify the legal status of corporate entities under Nevada law and affirm the authority of the Legislature and local governments to regulate corporate activity in the public interest. Supporters of the measure state that it strengthens democratic governance and reinforces community self‑determination.
With this vote, the Nevada Green Party is authorized to:
- Issue public statements of endorsement
- Permit use of the Party’s name in educational materials related to the initiative
- Encourage members and supporters to participate in outreach and petition‑related activities
The Party will release additional information as public education efforts proceed.
