Dr.Cornel West has announced his run for the GPUS nomination, for President! We in the Nevada Green Party are very excited about this! Through some insider information and some press, we have discovered that not only will Dr. Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka be lending a hand to his campaign, but also Christopher Lynn Hedges. All very exciting news!

In order to qualify to run as a Green Party Presidential candidate, Dr. West will need to garner some 100 plus signatures, from recognized and registered Green Party members, from across the United States. Once this petition becomes available, look for Social Media Press notices and encourage registered Green Party members to sign and share, so we can reach the 100 signature goal and put Dr. West in the running for the nomination, for President of the United States, at the Green Party convention.

Delegate Volunteers

We have four Delegates , ready to vote for and support Dr. Cornel West at Convention. Their names will be released at the end of the Convention in a follow up Newsletter.

Podcast Debut

We are also looking forward to the debut of our very own Podcast, featuring Co-Chair Daniel Alves as our host with the most! Please join us.

The 2023 Annual National Meeting of the Green Party of the United States will take place via Zoom, and will feature a series of workshops, entertainment, and strategy sessions.

Additional media opportunities include press conferences with national Green Party leaders, officeholders and candidates hosted on a dedicated Zoom videoconference. A credentialing page for reporters, bloggers, and other members of the media interested in covering the events, including press conferences,is posted online.

Media are invited to the Candidate Café, a virtual Meet and Greet opportunity for candidates, media, campaign staff, volunteers, officeholders, and candidates. The Candidate Café  will be hosted on a dedicated Zoom conference line, open to credentialed media.

A detailed schedule of events will be distributed in advance of the meeting.

Nevada Green Rhythm February and March Edition

To date, we have endorsed Ranked Choice Voting and also voiced our support for Tunisia against an IMF loan from America.

Our bank balance is healthy, all of our subscriptions are paid ie; Our Zoom platform and our Website, but only after taking the shape of several different pretzels. We voted to let go of the Adobe subscription, in favor of OpenOffice.org, which is free and open source.

In National news, 5 of our 8 Steering Committee co-chairs have resigned, as well as our GPUS Secretary and GPUS Treasurer. There was also the matter of a high-priced laptop, which wasn’t part of the GPUS budget, that has since been returned to the manufacturer.

We managed to finally get an EIN number for tax purposes, for the online store sales.

We at the Nevada Green Party stand in solidarity in support of Tunisia. Especially to criticize the U.S. Secretary of Defense, for commenting on Tunisian internal affairs and interfering in domestic affairs . Tunisia was one of the first to establish economic relations with the U.S.A., because the U.S.A. recognizes Tunisian independence, considering the Tunisians are already undergoing economic hardships and face the cruelty of increasing hardships against them and to advocate for debt forgiveness for Tunisia.
